Constructive gadfly
Published on April 18, 2005 By stevendedalus In Religion
Religion as with the abused spouse’s twisted view is a masochistic belief that humans alone are responsible for the abuses of the world. Religion is incapable of understanding that the universe is sadistically indifferent to our plight: we are but babes in the woods left to the wolves. Nature’s epochs can turn on life and render it extinct. We cling to faith not out of love of God but as a haven against the wrath of forces of which we have no control. It is too horrible to contemplate the horror of early man planted in a world of hostility without language to help sort out awesome, horrendous perceptions banging in his barely developed brain — no comforting tree of knowledge for this hapless, cruelly expendable creature, left only with the gods of darkness and fear.

steven my friend, it's not wolves, it's a lion, "satan as a roaring lion walketh about seeking whom he may devour".

LIGHT my friend.. do you realize darkness only has power in the absence of Light? Even a small glimmer of light breaks the thickest of darkness. Light has the power to thwart darkness, completely.

Christ said, "I am the light of the world, he that followeth me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life".

Forsake your god of darkness for the God of Light!
