Constructive gadfly

What’s wrong with a change of heart? For seven years Bush never had a heart in Afghanistan, but when Obama "dithers" even though he had committed forces there as one of his first acts in office, now he’s hesitant over committing more. Bravo. However. It’s wrong to keep troops already there in suspension. I say, just get the hell out of there, including Iraq. Nor is there any point—in order to win—in bombing them back to the Stone Age because Afghans have never left.

So, by what I am reading you, are not a strong proponent of the ideas of Life, liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness?  Humans to you do not have any basic rights?  Do you not even believe in the right to have free health care, as many claim today?

Your ego centric beliefs are showing when you think that you should enjoy these rights, but they should not have the chance.  I guess some humans are more equal than others.

The minority religious cult Government you are more than willing to allow, will return back into power.  Woman are nothing more than slaves that can be sold at child bearing age and forbidden to leave the house for fresh air unless walking with a male relative.

It is easy to type on your computer and ask for others to be enslaved and ruled by tyrannical religious fanatics wanting to keep people in that Stone Age.  If I remember right you at once time fought for your basic rights and this country.  I just wish you could feel how they will feel, when you let the chance of having basic human rights slip away from them.

I know we can’t intervene everywhere and provide those rights, but this is a place we are at here and now.  We many as well get our money’s worth.  Because if we leave now, it is like paying for half a house and then giving it to the a**hole that beats his wife each day, just because he can.

I'am not trying to call you names or imply anything.  I was just hoping to remind you of your humanity.

Richard, good to see you back. We don't agree on much, but still.

Oh,my, I must be misreading this![e digicons]:karma:[/e]

I'm just as sick over the inhumane treatement of women over there as you are, but frankly, I'm worried more about the rampant abuse of women and little girls in our own country.

Thank you, Nitro. On the way to the hospital I had this thing called open heart surgery.

Sorry for being sharp with you back there.

But I get a little short fused sometimes.  I was in Samolia for five months before we where pulled out and have seen how leaving others behind to their fate, at the hands of fanatics, can be heart breaking.  It makes anything here look inconsequential.

We had a President that Dithered his way out of Samolia the first political opertunity he could find.  I am hoping this one has more of a backbone and don't drag this war along on with half measures until he can find enough political cover to pull out of his promise.

Obama has already been call openly in the Russian press by Puttin as "Nonsignficant on the world stage today" and weak by the French President.  The press here just does not print statments like that, in order to promote world civility.

Well I hope everything is going better now that you had the surgery. Just take it easy.

As an old marine, I understand. But we have to end this craziness of tentatively engaged in wars--all or nothing.

Just take it easy.
About all I can do. Thanks again.

Sorry to hear of your travails, Richard, but glad to hear you are on the mend.

Godspeed.

We'll argue later.

I'm glad you made it through Steven.

We'll argue later.

I was thinking the same thing!

Thanks, guys, but you don't have to go easy on me.
