"You know that woman he[Obama] had singing for him, singing my song, going to get her a-- whipped," Etta said to a thunderous applause. She went on to add that she could not "stand" Beyonce.

I've got news for Etta--it's not her song. It was introduced in a Glenn Miller movie before he formed his Airforce Band. If anyone is miffed from the grave it would be Ray Eberle, Miller's vocalist. Long before Jones, it romanced millions of couples during the war years.

I believe her name is Etta James, and yes, she's a bit over the top thinking that this is "her" song, or that anyone besides a few of her old or dying fans care what she thinks about Beyonce's performance of the song.

Thanks,  for the correction! I think Beyonce did a better rendition, though I'm still partial to the golden oldie of Miller and Eberle.

How ghetto of her.
On the mark. I suppose, I'm being ghettoish still clinging to Glenn Miller.
