"Many Iraqis, however, believe al-Zeidi was a hero for insulting an American president widely blamed for the chaos that has engulfed their country since the U.S.-led invasion of 2003."

Total hogwash! Regardless of the errors of his ways Bush--goes without saying--does not deserve this arrant disrespect. I thought Iraqis were sandal-footed?--guess the perpetrator got the shoes from the US Army. Well, at least the shoes were bomb-free.

...a hero for insulting an American president ...

Doesn't take much to be considered a hero nowadays ... throw a shoe or two .. or an insult, and they will worship at your bare-naked feet.

No different than Robert Redford, who'd love to throw something a bit sharper at GW.

But I digress.

These are the folks who'll love us soon, right after Barack Hussein Obama is sworn in on January 20th.  We've been assured that all jihadists will lay down arms as soon as that gesture of reconciliation (use of his middle name) is uttered.  So, not to worry.

I think the honeymoon will be short, when they, like Americans realize "change" is just a campaign slogan.
