Constructive gadfly

It is categorical that your vote be based on reasonable underpinning of choices.

As a commander in chief the president has a right to a war of choice without imminent danger to his citizens; or as commander in chief the president must show plausible cause that the nation is threatened without having to whip citizens into a frenzy based on misinformation.

The current economy is sluggish at best and has no foreseeable future in investing in industry that should meet the needs of the 21st Century; or the economy is doing well considering the circumstances of wars and the time it takes for tax cuts to take effect.

It matters not that 45 million are medically uninsured; besides, most are owing to uncontrolled immigration and don’t forget we are a charitable nation so all in the end get health care; or the more uninsured the greater the burden on the taxpayer, let alone the inhumanity.

Unemployment is down, lower than Clinton’s, so it doesn’t matter that there is higher unemployment in other states, it is the national average that counts; or the unemployment rate excludes the growing millions working part time and the rapid escalation of temp workers at minimal wage levels.

A Jewish vote should be primarily motivated by what president is better for Israel; or in the long run what’s good for America is good for Israel.

A Christian vote should be primarily cast in behalf of the unborn and the marriage amendment; or these issues belong in the private sphere.

A Muslim vote is based on undue profiling and harassment; or based on the necessity for fighting terrorism.

Tax cuts for the affluent is logical since they pay most of the taxes anyway; or the affluent have more to lose, receive greater protection from the village and should be proud to pay geometrically more as their parents did.

Votes should be cast commensurate with the votes of the military; or votes should be cast to save the military from wars of choice.

Under no circumstance should the president be replaced in a time of war; or under no circumstance should a president who bungled the war not be replaced.
