Constructive gadfly

I see no reason for the media and political wings to go ballistic over the selection of Sahra Palin. I think it’s cool to put a capable young woman—not to mention she’s beautiful—on the ticket. A 230 year history of a stable democracy is comfortably in a position to place the nation in good hands in the event of a dreaded situation. Under such circumstance even Dan Quayle would have carried us through—think Ford, Johnson, Truman.

Besides, it’s time for the Republican Party to start valuing women.

I think it's a great move.  I have been an Obama supporter since he ran for state senate in Chicago 6 years ago.  I've always respected McCain as uniter.  With this, he's really got my attention now.  Let's see what happens at the RNC, if and when it happens.

Except for that little dig at the end, I couldn't agree more.  Props to you, Richard.  Of course, that assumes this isn't one of your little practical jokes. But I can like it either way.

I think they have longer than the democrats.  But if you only listen to the rhetoric and lies of the democrats, you would get the opinion this is the first time.

But here's a clue.  She was already elected Governor on that ticket.

Sorry SD.  Written in the heat of the moment, and regretting in leisure.  My sentiments are true, but the venue is wrong.

Thanks, Doc, I'm happy that you realize I have no issue with the choice. And I have credited Bush for appointing Condoleeza Rice, even though the right was not too happy over it.

The right?  or Republicans?  I think she was a fine advisor - mediocre as a SOS.  But better than Albright.

Even after the Gibson interview... I'm impressed (with you, Richard).
