One thing you must give credit to Clinton’s campaign is that she has toughened Obama to look beyond the “fairy tale” of change and to admit to the full range of many cultures of the Democratic Party. Far from being a drain on the strength of the party she has actually highlighted the undercurrent forces of Democrats who are not liberal elitists and also need a voice. As a young man voting for Adlai Stevenson twice I learned the hard way that glowing oratory and intellectual arrogance is not the way to win the Presidency.

Ted Kennedy early on hopped on the Obama wagon because the candidate was inspiring in the Kennedy tradition, except he forgot that his brothers, though masters of heart tugging speeches, were hard-nosed politicians—JFK's choice of JBJ; Robert debating an empty chair won the senate and returned as promised to thank those at the Brooklyn fish market.

JFK's choice of JBJ

LBJ?

You may be right about Obama, but I think you are wrong about Teddy. He was out to get the clintons because of the last Convention where he was up against them for the site. Teddy is not a big thought guy, just a clownish buffon, whose modus operandi can always be traced to spite and hate.

Nevertheless, Ted arguably will go down in history as the nation's top ten senators ever.

It it also could be that the Clinton's have been excoriating Ted's pet project NCLB.
